General notice

Based on Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the data protection provisions of the Swiss Confederation (Data Protection Act, DPA), every person has the right to protection of their privacy as well as protection against misuse of their personal data. The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the legal data protection regulations as well as this privacy policy.

In cooperation with our hosting provider, we strive to protect the databases as well as possible against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or falsification. However, we would like to point out that despite all the measures we have taken, data transmission on the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps and therefore complete protection of data against access by third parties cannot be guaranteed in every case.

By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing and use of data as described below. In principle, it is possible to use our website without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (e.g. surname, first name, telephone number, address or e-mail address) is collected on our website, this is always done on a voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

Processing of personal data

Personal data means any information related to an identified or identifiable individual. A data subject is a person about whom personal data are processed. Processing includes any handling of personal data, regardless of the means and procedures used, in particular the storage, disclosure, acquisition, deletion, retention, alteration, destruction and use of personal data.

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law. If and to the extent that the EU GDPR is applicable, we also process personal data on the following legal bases in connection with Art. 6 (1) GDPR:

  • lit. a) Processing of personal data with the consent of the data subject.
  • lit. b) Processing of personal data for the performance of a contract with the data subject as well as for the implementation of corresponding pre-contractual measures.
  • lit. c) Processing of personal data for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject under applicable EU law or under the applicable law of a country in which the GDPR applies in whole or in part.
  • lit. d) Processing of personal data to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person.
  • lit. f) Processing of personal data to protect the legitimate interests of us or of third parties, unless the fundamental freedoms and rights and interests of the data subject override these. The legitimate interests include, in particular, our business interest in being able to provide our website, information security, the enforcement of our own legal claims and compliance with Swiss law.

We process personal data for the duration required for the respective purpose or purposes. In the case of longer-term retention obligations due to legal and other obligations to which we are subject, we restrict processing accordingly.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. Cookies neither cause damage to your computer nor do they contain viruses. The creation of a cookie is a way to temporarily store data and serves to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer and stored by your browser.

The cookies most frequently used by us are so-called session cookies, which have a limited lifespan. They are automatically deleted after the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize you as a visitor on your next visit and thus provide you with a better visitor experience.

You can set your browser to inform you when cookies are set. You can also specifically allow cookies only in individual cases or generally exclude them. You can also set cookies to be automatically deleted when you close the browser window. If you disable cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

SSL/TLS encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests that you send to us as the website operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Server log files

The hosting provider (Novatrend Services GmbH) of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits.

These are in particular:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request

This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications of illegal use.

This data collection is primarily used to evaluate and prevent attempts to attack the website. Hosting providers are also legally obliged in certain situations to be able to provide information about where access has been made in order to counter criminal activities.

We have concluded a contract on data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the above-mentioned hosting service. This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that this service only processes the personal data of our website visitors in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

The privacy policy of Novatrend Services GmbH can be found here.

Forms

If you fill in a form (e.g. the contact form) on our website, all your details will be sent to us by email and, in addition to security against loss and better traceability, stored in the database. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

Enquiry by e-mail

If you contact us by e-mail, your enquiry including all resulting personal data (e.g. name, e-mail address) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

Webling association software

We operate a member database for member administration. We use the club software Webling.

We have concluded a contract on data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the above-mentioned hosting service. This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that this service only processes the personal data of our website visitors in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

Webling's privacy policy can be found here.

Newsletter

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on our website, we need an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use in our address management and for sending the newsletter at any time by informing us of this by e-mail, telephone or via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter.

Google Fonts

This website uses so-called Google Fonts, which are provided by Google, for the uniform display of fonts. The Google Fonts are installed locally. There is no connection to Google servers.

Integration of third-party services and content

We have included content from third parties on our website (e.g. YouTube). This always presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as "third-party providers") store the IP address of the user. Because without the IP address, they could not send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore required for the display of this content.

We endeavor to only use content whose respective providers only use the IP address to deliver the content. However, we have no influence if the third-party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. As far as this is known to us, we inform the users about it.

If you do not wish to disclose any information about yourself, please log out of your Google account before using this website or use a plugin such as Ghostery to block data exchange. You can find the Google privacy policy here.
